And first choice keeper Morris has been out since picking up an injury during the 1-0 defeat to Walsall on November 3.
And Yems brought in 39-year-old keeper Stuart Nelson as cover last week and he made his debut as McGill's replacement at Torquay.
But Yems is confident about both Morris and McGill returning soon. He said: "He’s [McGill] ok. I have spoken to him a couple of times and he will be back soon. [On the incident] You don’t want to see it because everyone’s guessing what has and hasn’t gone on. It’s not nice to see anyone spark out.
"He’s a tough boy so he’ll be back."
