Bowlers excel at Nationals
Eastbourne Youth Bowlers had a fine weekend at the National Youth Championships in Coventry. The championships are run throughout May and more than 60 clubs and 600 bowlers participate. Luke Everett is currently second in the Bantam division with a personal best of 144 while in the junior division, Kiran Akehurst and Matthew Benton are fourth and 13th respectively. David Di Francesco is in 14th position and Matthew Benton in 21st in the senior division. Eastbourne Youth Bowling Club have five bowlers playing in the County Championships at the AMF in Worthing on Saturday May 11, and the committee would like to thank the parents and instructors who travelled up to Coventry to show their support.
