Former Brighton coach takes over as new Stoke manager
The 45-year-old had been in charge of the Hatters for two years after leaving his role as Albion first-team coach. He guided Luton to promotion from League Two last season and they sit second in League One this year, five points behind leaders Portsmouth.
Jones replaces Gary Rowett, who was sacked as Stoke boss yesterday.

Hide AdDuring his playing career, Jones appeared 183 times for the Seagulls and was part of three promotion-winning squads.
He spent seven years at Yeovil after leaving Brighton, including roles as the assistant manager and first team coach.
Jones was under-21 professional development coach at Charlton for a year, before he returned to Brighton as assistant head coach to Oscar Garcia in July, 2013.
Following Garcia's departure, Jones was first-team coach under Sami Hyypia, before he was appointed caretaker manager after Hyypia resigned.
