In August, the headteacher of Ninfield C of E School, Chris Brown climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He raised between £1,500-£2,000 for Addenbrooke’s Hospital charity. He made it to the summit on Thursday August 12 at 6.45am after starting the summit climb at midnight. The whole trek took eight days.
Chris said “ It was an exhausting but amazing experience”. Well done Chris. I am also doing my bit for charity in a few weeks. I am running the BUPA Great South Run on October 24 in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. This is a 10-mile run around Portsmouth. Anyone who knows me and wishes to sponsor me, you can do so at Ninfield village Stores or by going to: http://www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Feeley. As a warm-up run for this event I took part in the Battle Bonfire Boyes 10K run in September with Mr Brown, Mr Palmer and Mr Corby to raise funds for Ninfield C of E School. We would like to thank all those that sponsored us for this event - we raised approx. £200.
