VIDEO: Hundreds gather to enjoy annual Horsham Pancake Race
Families, volunteers and runners braced the icy cold weather to take part in the two-hour event organised by Horsham Rotary Club.
There were 13 mascots taking part representing organisations including the Children’s Trust, Samaritans and the rotary club.

Hide AdChris Watts, 29, was the Horsham District Council mascot Ringo the dragon. He said: “It’s a fun way of taking part and giving smiles. It’s my idea of a laugh. No one knows who you are inside the suit.”
Charities, businesses and other organisations turned up in fancy dress at the Carfax, battling their way through to the final through sugar coating, lemon squirting and elaborate flipping.
After eight tough rounds, The Bluecake Sports, from the Bluecoat sports centre in Christ’s Hospital were crowned the winners.
The best charity race was won by St Catherine’s Hospice. The team from the Campaign Against Gatwick Noise Emissions were named the best dressed. They were supporting Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.
