Storm Ciarán: Eastbourne roads blocked by fallen trees

Two roads in Eastbourne have been blocked by fallen trees as Storm Ciarán hits the town.

At around 8.30am this morning (Thursday, November 2) a resident sent in pictures of a fallen tree in Wartling Road by Seaside Road.

This morning the AA also said Victoria Drive was closed from Command Road to Downs Avenue because of a fallen tree and power cables.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “We did attend Victoria Drive around 7.50am this morning after receiving a report of a tree causing damage to power cables. We closed a section of the road while the area was made safe. It has since reopened.”

East Sussex Highways has been contacted for more information.
