PARENTS at a ‘failing’ school say they feel misled over the possibility of it becoming an academy.

When Ofsted put The Globe Primary School in Irene Avenue, Lancing, in special measures in March, parents were told the school could be forced to become an academy, but not that governors had already been investigating the switch almost a year earlier.

“It now seems that all those who had pledged to stand by the school have either resigned or stepped down,” said parent Sarah Clements.
