Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell has spoken to pupils at Willingdon Community School about her life in Westminster.

Caroline talked to year seven pupils last week at the school in Broad Road about her journey into politics, highlights and big votes.

She was given a tour of the school with the headteacher, Ian Jungius, and met with students in science and media classes.

Caroline said, “I can see why Willingdon is one of the highest performing schools in the county and it has great strength in its teaching of pupils with learning difficulties.”

She said she enjoyed telling the youngsters about her role as the town’s MP.

She added, “The pupils were really superb and very interested in my role as an MP.

“Many thanks to the staff for organising this great visit.”
