GRASSROOTS: Afternoon TG in Rustington
He had a varied career, most of the time in the Sussex force, and brought along newspaper cuttings ot police emergencies he had attended, going back 30 years. He also had a display, including uniforms and truncheons, and some rather unusual items officers have to carry with them these days.
Anne Hill gave the vote of thanks. She was herself thanked for the table plant which was donated to the raffle, and was wished a happy holiday “Down Under”.

Hide AdThe federation cream tea will take place on August 25 at the Friends’ Meeting House, Mill Road, Worthing, price £4.50.
Audrey Parker, sick visitor, had nothing to report and said everyone must be taking the tablets. She reminded members of the guild concert later in the week.
There was a discussion over what form the guild’s 45th anniversary should take next year. Several suggestions were put forward for consideration.
After the raffle was drawn, chairman Pam Good wished everyone a happy summer.
