Theft of catalytic converter in Newhaven

A catalytic converter has been stolen from a car in Newhaven, police have said.

Officers reported that the incident happened in Western Road between 1pm on Monday, December 5, and 10am on Tuesday, December 6.

The owner of the green Honda Civic returned to the car in the morning to find the converter had been removed, according to police.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Initial enquiries have been completed, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.”
