Man charged with arson after house fire
Police said they were informed about the fire at 7am.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The fire was believed to have been started at the front door. A woman in the property managed to get outside and was checked over by paramedics at the scene. No-one else was in the property at the time.
“Colin Stenning, 37, a builder of Harwood Close, Pulborough has been charged with arson with intent and appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday November 7.”

Hide AdWSFRS was called at 7.17am on Saturday (November 5) to the incident.
A spokesperson for WSFRS said: “We sent two pumps from Worthing and one from Storrington.
“The fire was involving the front door and porch area. We used two breathing apparatus, one high pressure hose reel and one covering jet.
“The house had ten per cent fire damage, at the moment it is being treated as deliberate ignition.
“There are no injuries to report.”
