A COFFEE MORNINg: in aid of Cancer Research UK, takes place at St Mary's Church in The Old Parsonage on Saturday April 9 from 10-12noon. Entrance is just £1 to include refreshments.

THE COMMUNITY WISE Centre: in Ocklynge Road has many activities coming up that you are welcome to attend. Starting on Monday April 12 from 2-4pm a series of workshops begins - drawing for all (£15), experiments in Art (£15) and two workshops looking at the history of modern Pop Art movements in Europe and America (£12). Tuesday April 12 from 2-3.30pm a series of four sessions will teach participants how to research their family history. These hands on sessions are for complete beginners and those who have made a start but have got stuck. Costing £20 per person. Wednesday 13 from 2-3.30pm a relaxed and informal history and geography course will take participants on a journey of discovery looking at the achievements of famous explorers from 16th century onwards. This six week course costs £30 and takes place fortnightly. Saturday 16th April, from 7.30- 9.30pm, wine expert Michael Gould will lead a wine tasting evening packed with information and tips on what to look for on a budget, £12 per person. Tuesday 19 from 6.30-8.00pm a six week photography course begins. Looking at the basics and beyond this course will show participants how to get the best out of your camera and create the wow factor.
