More than 100 people came to the event at St Saviour’s Church on Thursday (April 7) to hear Mrs Ansell’s views on health, the recent Budget and whether the country should be in or out of Europe.

Mrs Ansell said, “It was certainly a very interesting morning where I was put on the spot about a whole range of issues from a forum that works very hard to ensure the ‘older voice’ is heard in Eastbourne.

“Many thanks to the organisers for inviting me. It was an enjoyable event and I very much hope I will asked to come along again soon.”
