VIDEO: Never Forget the Take That musical

NEVER Forget, the critically and publicly acclaimed new Take That musical, opens at Theatre Royal Brighton on March 19, prior to its West End run.

The production, which features the incredible catalogue of songs by Take That, is a feel-good comedy about love, friendship, ambition and betrayal.

With an original story written by BAFTA award-winner Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Sorted, Clocking Off) and Guy Jones and Ed Curtis, Never Forget is about the unlikeliest of Take That tribute bands.

Set in Manchester, the show follows the rollercoaster journey of young hero Ash and his best mates in the pursuit of their dreams.

Along the way, each of them discovers that pretending to be someone else can sometimes help you discover who you really are.

Packed with all the classic Take That songs, the show includes number one smash hits Relight My Fire, Pray, Back For Good, Babe and, of course, Never Forget.

The summer 2007 tour of Never Forget was enjoyed by more than 100,000 people in Cardiff, Manchester, Stoke, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The show was recorded live at the Manchester Opera House by Universal Music and has topped the DVD charts since its release in November.

Former Take That Manager Nigel Martin Smith said: "I thought the show was fabulous. It was so theatrical, just like the boys always were. It captured what Take That was all about '“ it was about having fun."

Heading the 28-strong cast of Never Forget is Dean Chisnall, who plays Ash Sherwood. Dean left drama school to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical The Woman In White. He was seen most recently in Michael Grandage's production of Evita.

Craige Els, who plays Jake Turner, grew up in Liverpool and most recently starred in Spamalot and Mamma Mia in the West End.
