DRAMA: The Importance of Being Earnest

EARNEST has been their earnest desire for quite some time.

Now they're achieving it in their anniversary year '“ an appropriate way to celebrate their first quarter of a century.

The Importance of Being Earnest was written not so far away in Worthing; now it is the 25th anniversary production for The Cissbury Players.

For the Players, it's also a chance to look back on two and a half decades of success '“ and numerous happy performances.

From their base in Findon Village Hall, they've produced three performances a year for 25 years and now celebrate with three founding members still treading the boards.

Ann Burfoot fulfils a life-long ambition by playing Lady Bracknell, Mary Frost takes on the skittish role of Miss Prism and Pam Jezard is assisting front of house.

The anniversary performance of The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde will take place at Findon Village Hall on November 19, 20 and 21 at 7.30pm.
