LIFE AT Woodside Road gets no easier. Lee Newman's late winner may have saved blushes and capped a plucky fightback on Tuesday, but there could be no disguising the increasingly familiar defensive frailties of Danny Bloor's men.
Bloor is rightly keen for supporters to look to the future and get behind his youthful side, but if the porous defence can't be shored up, then a long, cold winter may await.
With Woodside spine-strengtheners, Danny Davis, Andy Alexander, Andy Lutwyche and Jamie Lawrence missing, County League champions Horsham YMCA, promoted to the Ryman League, proved to be a well-organised, competitive unit.
