SHIROCCO ROSE is the latest Material World filly getting connections excited in West Sussex – and horse-racing fans are being offered a stake in the story.

The lively yearling, born in May 2013, is the fourth foal born to Material World, the ‘horse of the people’ who had an illustrious jump-racing career despite losing an eye after a freak accident even before she’d run her first race.

The Observer recently retold Material World’s story and of the high hopes everyone associated with her has for Storm Patrol, her three-year-old who is set for an exciting racing career starting early next year.

But Storm Patrol – sired by the classy Shirocco – has two younger full sisters and shares in the career of the middle one of the three, Shirocco Rose, are now being made available to interested parties.
