Findon trainer Nick Gifford, now in his fourth season, completed his first ever double when landing the staying chase at Sandown on Saturday with new arrival Latimer's Place and the two mile handicap hurdle with Dusky Lord.

Latimer's Place is owned by Sir Christopher Wates and the ten-year-old has previously won at Sandown on the soft. The horse a first winner for the stable for conditional Jay Pemberton, who arrived from Gerry Enright's in the summer.

Dusky Lord, now six, had previously won at Plumpton twice and at Fontwell Park. Sandown was a step up for him and he should continue to progress well.
