Chichester Runners ace Liam Dunne won the senior race as this year's Corporate Challenge city-centre race series got under way in front of large crowds on a cold but clear night.

The 17-year-old is only in his second year in the adults' A race at the event but he was the clear winner ahead of clubmate Ned Potter.

That was the highlight of eight races involving more than 800 runners who produced some excellent times around the tight course that has proved popular now for nearly three decades.

Portsmouth's Ellie Farrow was the first woman home in the A race, while there were some familiar winners in the junior and secondary school races.
