LIAM SET FOR STARDOM

ANGMERING SCHOOL pupil Liam Treadwell is in line to become a star of the turf that's the opinion of top racehorse trainer Amanda Perrett.

Treadwell, just 16, rode Nick Gifford's Cheater in a three-mile Parham point-to-point on Saturday, finishing fifth out of six runners, but achieveing the main objective of getting the horse round, since he had pulled up a few times previously.

Perrett, who will be taking on Treadwell as an apprentice when he leaves school said: He's a very promising young rider and possesses a lot of natural ability. He's also very dedicated and I know he shows a lot of potential."
