JENNI BLAZES TO CHESHIRE WIN

For Jenni (14) and her pony Blaze, this was an exceptional achievement in what has been their first full season of competition.

The duo would also have won the eventing final but for being over-cautious in the showjumping section, where they incurred five time penalties, dropping them into seventh place.

Her delighted mother, Lynne, said: "The seven-hour journey to get there seems like a distant dream.

"It was a well organised and truly enjoyable event."

Jenni will be aiming high next season, hoping to compete in open area qualifiers, affiliated events and British dressage events.
