It's three national titles for our duo!

THREE NATIONAL titles, a moral third plus a bronze '” that was the unprecedented tally for local athletes at the National Under-17 Championships.

Worthing Harriers's Olufunmi Sobodo became the second-fastest Under-17 boy of all time over 100metres in the UK when he won in 10.49sec, equalling the championship record at Birmingham on Saturday and 0.21sec clear of the rest. Still only a year into athletics as a sport, he then added on Sunday the 200m in 21.46sec.

Club-mate Kayley Alcorn, the Under-17 English Schools triple jump champion, won the AAAs crown by 1cm with 11.78metres on Sunday and also won bronze in the high jump with 1.66m.
