It's Robbo's Bognor rocker!

JOHN ROBINSON, the former Welsh international and Charlton favourite, gave Worthing the lead in their 1-1 friendly draw at Bognor Regis Town on Friday, when making his third pre-season appearance since coming to Woodside this summer.

Rocks drew 1-1 after Rebels defender Tarkan Mustafa turned a low cross into his own net under pressure.

A mainly young Worthing XI won 1-0 at Lancing on Tuesday with a second-half own-goal. Lancers keeper Ashley Walker began his comeback after a groin operation but earlier than intended while newly-signed Canadian, Tony Di Bernardo, former lywith Wick and Littlehampton, waits a month for international clearance.

They have decided that the physical presence of Rikki Banks, the former Crystal Palace apprentice and Hendon loanee, will be their No 1 goalkeeping choice ahead of Chris May. This quality boss Danny Bloor said he felt Worthing missed from Chuck Martini last term.
