Littlehampton keeper Jon Hendrick made an excellent save to deny Nick Sullivan after just three minutes, before Golds went ahead on 20 minutes.

Scott Packer crossed for Dan Simmonds, who tucked the ball away first time for his 13th goal of the season.

Packer then had an effort ruled out for offside and missed another chance from close range just before half-time.

Littlehampton doubled their lead with a goal of real quality 11 minutes from time. Bennett likened it to an Arsenal goal, with a number of one-touch passes, before Alex Kew set up Packer to net.

Simmonds missed an opening for a third and Golds then had Ben Gray sent off for foul and abusive language with five minutes left.

YM pulled a goal back through Dan Sullivan with a minute to go but Littlehampton saw out the six minutes of injury-time to reach the last four.
