Games set to beat weather

Today’s (Saturday) senior football matches look set to go ahead as planned despite all of the rain of the past 48 hours.

In-form Hastings United go in search of a fourth successive Ryman Football League Premier Division away victory when they travel to high-flying Metropolitan Police.

Rye United have received no communication from hosts Arundel so they fully anticipate the Sussex County League Division One game to be on.

Sidley United’s visit from St Francis Rangers in the same division definitely goes ahead, as does Bexhill United versus Rustington in Division Two even though The Polegrove hosted a reserve team fixture last night.

Westfield are anticipating their Division Two match at Steyning Town to be on, while Little Common’s clash at home to Wick (kick-off 1.45pm) is also expected to get the green light.

The reserve team clash between Rye and Sidley at The Salts goes ahead, and Westfield’s second string will entertain Haywards Heath (kick-off 1.45pm). Matches kick-off at 3pm unless stated.
