The Red Devils will be licking their wounds following a damaging 3-0 defeat against Sevilla on Thursday night, which knocked them out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage.

In-form Brighton are arguably favourites for the tie but will be wary they will be coming up against a wounded animal looking to make amends.

The Old Trafford club are without key defenders Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, who both suffered long-term injuries in the first-leg against Sevilla.

Skipper Harry Maguire also misses out through suspension. That means Bruno Fernandes – who was suspended for the trip to Spain – takes back the captain’s armband.

The front three is completed by Antony and Anthony Martial, who has recovered from a minor injury against Sevilla.

Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both keep their place in the team, with Tyrell Malacia on the bench.
