Blues looking for manager again after Jarvis set back

Jarvis had agreed to be Blues’ new boss last week, but informed chairman Frank Sumner on Tuesday that he felt he could not get a suitable management team together to take on the role.

Sumner admitted it was a real blow and said: “It is a blow as we have got a couple of new committee members in and we were moving on nicely.

“We had friendlies arranged and a start date of training set, then all of a sudden out of the blue I get a phone call this morning.”

Sumner also stated that since Jarvis stood down, he had already been contacted by someone involved with the club who has thrown their hat in the ring for the job.
