Hide AdWatkins had an early ‘life’ but batted superbly for his 140 as his side passed Hill’s impressive 247-2 to win by four wickets. That did, however, make Tom Penfold (100no) one of the weekend’s unlucky batsmen.

Tom Fairfax hit his third and highest ton when making 117 to help the Hassocks Sunday side to a 73-run 40-overs success at Buxted. He shared a third wicket stand of 152 with Jamie Purtell (54). The age range of the Hassocks side was an impressive 55 years, from 14 to 69.
