‘Below par’ Henfield are without a win in three as Eagles soar to victory

Henfield are still searching for a first win of 2013 after a ‘below par’ performance in losing at Crawley Eagles.

Only Adam and Craig Scott - with 31 and 46 respectively - really made an impression with the bat as Henfield were all out for 134.

And skipper Brett Moore’s suspicions that the total was 30 odd runs light rang true as Faz Nizammad’s unbeaten 49 anchored Eagles to a five-wicket victory.

Moore said: “It was a poor batting display after getting off to a reasonable start. Bot Adam and Craig batted beautifully to give us a total to make a match of it, but five ducks isn’t good enough.”

And of Nizamdeen’s unbeaten 47 Moore said: “He did ride his luck at times but if we’d had someone to bat like him we’d have posted a decent score. This Saturday we play Billingshurst which is bound to be tough.”
