Blues' boss signs nephew

Ringmer manager Steve Johnson has signed his nephew Jack Johnson on a dual registration from AFC Wimbledon.

The midfielder played for the reserves on Friday when they won their first league game of the season against fellw strugglers Worthing United. Johnson said: 'He fitted in well and got to know some of the players.'

Former Arundel boss Johnson is looking forward to his first return to Mill Road on Tuesday even though he cannot sit in the dugout due to suspension.

Johnson said: 'I'd have liked to do that but will have to find somewhere decent to stand instead. At least against Arundel and Hassocks at home on Saturday I'm expecting two good football games. That's when we're at our best knocking the ball around.

'We weren't up for the battle in the first half at Mile Oak on Saturday and were two down at half-time, but a few strong words at the break saw us create lots of chances in the second half although Mile Oak deserved the win.'

Herve King is available to return on Saturday after suspension but Danny McLaughlin and Aaron MacMillan are still banned.
