Arundel Riding Club's excellent year

ARUNDEL District Riding Club held its annual meeting recently at The Winterton Arms, Eartham, near Chichester, when the new venue proved highly successful and the evening was much enjoyed by members.

Chairman, Sue Sparrow, reported an excellent year for the club despite having lost some events through adverse weather and foot and mouth.

The two open ridden shows, in-hand show, weekly showjumping and gymkhana events throughout the season had attracted excellent entries.

The club had also introduced Senior Plus jumping to encourage those members who had not competed for a long time and wished to be gently introduced back into the competitive ring.

There had been a Show Clinic with B-B-Q and funds raised from all the events had allowed the purchase of a new full set of wooden show jumps, including rustic fences for working pony/horse classes. Gail Seagrove, Treasurer, reported a good profit for ADRC over the year.
