'After a hectic day at EuroDisney, they took part in the evening's parade through the Disney village. They performed for large crowds in a parade which included American and European bands, all being filmed for French television.'

The young musicians have now returned from their Euro jaunt which was sponsored by the Rotary Club, Cash Bases, Newhaven and Peacehaven town councils, Network Fisheries, Mr M Watts and Mr G Southgate.

Marie added: 'The band arrived home tired but having proved our town of Newhaven can vie with the best of America and Europe.'
