Woman hit by car in Eastbourne

A woman was struck by a vehicle in Eastbourne yesterday afternoon (Saturday, March 5).

The incident happened on a crossing in Lewes Road.

The road was closed in both directions between Arundel Road and Prideaux Road and traffic was diverted.

Sussex Police have not released any information about the incident at this time.

The woman’s condition is not known.
