AN elderly woman suffered serious head and leg injuries after she was in collision with a Nissan Sunny car in Grinstead Lane, Lancing, on Monday afternoon.

The 82-year-old was taken to Worthing Hospital after the accident at 1.40pm.
The driver of the Nissan, which was travelling north, was a 72-year-old local man who suffered shock.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident. The road was closed for two hours.
