Who's afraid of these big bad Hounds?

WHO'S afraid of Bexhill-on-Sea's canine candidates for the role of the Hound of the Baskervilles?

As part of Bexhill Amateur Theatrical Society's up-and-coming production of the classic Sherlock Holmes mystery, Sheila Harper was wandering around the town on Saturday giving out flyers to passers-by - and accompanied by two "terrifying" dogs.

Which do you think is the most frightening hound - Labrador Rottweiler cross Ozzie, owned by Jan Farnfield, or Lucy, a Yorkshire Terrier cross owned by Mrs Harper?

BATS also held a coffee morning at Parkhurst Hall on Saturday, which was well attended.

Unfortunately neither Ozzie nor Lucy will be treading the boards at the De La Warr Pavilion next weekend - the howling voice of the Hound is to be broadcast offstage.

Pictured at the BATS coffee morning is Jenny Taylor, costumed as her role of the Housekeeper, with Lucy and Ozzie.
