Our speaker this year, providing he is not called to a late vote in Parliament, will be our M.P Huw Merriman. He will be talking about the local infrastructure and discussing any concerns or problems parishioners may have about this.

There is a change this year in that the reports will not be read out, but photocopy packs of all the reports will be available to those attending. Time on the agenda is also being given to allow any comments or questions on these.

The March parish council meeting will follow the Assembly with the Open Session at the beginning of this meeting.

PARISH CHURCH NEWS: Sunday 12th March will see our Family Service at 10.30am, taken by our own Vicar, Rev. Kevin Mepham and followed as usual with light refreshments. Car parking will as usual be available nearby at the village hall.

This will be one of TWO Family services this month as we are also holding an additional one on March 26th for Mothering Sunday, so a date for the diary for all Mum’s and their families!

GOOD COMPANIONS: Last week members of The Good Companions enjoyed a very good luncheon at The Abbey Hotel, Battle. The group have not visited this establishment for well over a year and it was lovely to see how the present owners had refurbished the hotel. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and a table had been set aside for us in an area by ourselves. As usual members were in deep conversation with one another and there was much laughter. The food was enjoyed by all; the service was excellent.
