STORMS: Flooding alert issued for Cranleigh

The Environment Agency has launched a flooding alert for Cranleigh today (Monday July 28).

The alert reads: “Waters at Cranleigh have risen quickly throughout the morning in response to the rainfall overnight and this morning.

“Levels are expected to continue to rise today and flooding of low lying land and roads is expected today, especially in the Cranleigh area.

“However, property flooding is not currently expected. The weather prospects are for localised heavy and thundery showers, which will become drier in the evening.”
