VIDEO: ‘Skinny’ knifeman robs garage in Littlehampton

A SKINNY man armed with a knife and a Lidl carrier bag robbed a garage in Littlehampton last night (Monday, March 16).

The drama took place at Cuff Miller Garage, in Horsham Road.

A man holding a knife went into the garage at about 7.40pm and demanded money from a member of staff.

He made off with £400, a police spokeswoman confirmed this afternoon.

The staff member was not hurt.

The robber is described as white, 5ft 8ins, skinny, aged between 20 and 30 and was wearing a dark jacket with a scarf over his face and carrying a Lidl carrier bag.

Detective Sergeant Debbie Birch said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this man acting suspiciously in the area or making off to contact police.”

This robbery is not connected to the series of armed robberies in Worthing, Shoreham and Lancing.
