A Horsham pensioner says he feels ‘harassed’ by seven letters in recent months from energy company npower.

However, npower has denied any wrong-doing, saying they are ‘absolutely not at fault’ as a dispute rages on.

Antony Fletcher, 84, says he had his gas meter inspected in November.

But npower has said it has no record of this, and has sent several letters aiming to schedule an inspection.

npower said it has apologised to Mr Fletcher for what it admits is ‘strong wording’ in the letters, adding that it is pressing for the inspection because ‘the safety of our customers is paramount’.
