UPDATE: Woman taken to hospital after car rolls over on M23

Emergency services were called to the scene between the Maidenbower and Pease Pottage junctions at 10.21am yesterday (Wednesday January 29).

Paramedics treated her for facial injuries and drove her to East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

The car overturned after it hit the embankment but came to rest back on its wheels.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle stopped on the hard shoulder and the carriageway was not obstructed.
