Explosion in Balcombe pub

A man was treated for shock after an explosion in a pub at Balcombe yesterday (Thursday September 5).

Firefighters were called to the pub in London Road just after 8.30pm.

The small explosion was in the kitchen and was caused by a broken LPG gas pipe behind the oven.

The gas was isolated by the fire service.

A man was treated for shock by the ambulance service.
