Emergency services called to three-car collision on A272

Emergency services were called to the A272 after a three-car collision.

Shortly before 5pm on Friday (May 15), police, fire and the ambulance service were called to attend the incident between Midhurst and Petworth.

A spokesman for the fire service said, upon arrival, one of the cars involved in the collision was 'well alight'.

They said two other vehicles had been involved.

A spokesman for Petworth Fire Station said: "Crews used two high pressure hose reels two breathing apparatus and one compressed air foam system jet from Midhurst Fire Station who where requested upon our arrival.

"All casualties where taken to hospital by SECAMB and we left the scene with Sussex Police."
