Body found in Henfield car park

THE BODY of a missing Partridge Green man was discovered in a car in Henfield Friday morning (March 9).

Emergency services attended the scene in the village Medical Centre car park at Tree Rise, Deer Park, around 8.15am.

The 47-year-old was found following a search conducted throughout the previous night.

A spokesperson from Sussex Police said: “The man had been reported missing by his worried family on Thursday afternoon (March 8).

“A search was conducted throughout the night and his car was found in the car park at Henfield Medical Centre on Friday morning.

“The car park was cordoned off while police investigated and the body was removed, but there are no suspicious circumstances and the matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) added: “SECAmb responded to a 999 call following the discovery of a man in a car who appeared to be unconscious in a car park at Tree Rise, Deer Park, Henfield at 8:35am on Friday.

“The man was confirmed dead at the scene.”
