Trail-blazing Trust cottage re-opens

Visitors can once again enjoy the delights of Alfriston Clergy House as it opens for the new season.

The beautiful National Trust owned 14th Century thatched Hall House charms visitors with its picturesque cottage garden especially during the spring months when the daffodils and fritillaries are in bloom.

Opening times start with the weekends of March 3 and 4 and March 10 and 11 from 11am to 4pm; followed by full opening from March 17, 10am to 5pm everyday except Tuesday and Friday.

Alfriston Clergy House was the first property to be acquired by the National Trust in 1896, and is in an idyllic setting next to the village church with views across the River Cuckmere.
