Drivers 'lucky' to escape from Eastbourne collision
Occupants of two cars should 'play their lottery numbers' after escaping relatively unhurt from a collision near Eastbourne last night.
Police were called at 6.24pm last night to Warren Hill after a call from a member of the public.
Two cars were involved in the collision, according to police, which left one vehicle on its roof.
An ambulance was called and one of the drivers was treated for slight injury.
The police spokesman said: "It appears they were quite lucky."
The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered, but opened again about 8pm.
Pictures from PC Gareth Evers show the aftermath of the incident.
He said: "Please, please, please drive to the conditions and arrive alive.
"I have no idea how the occupants of these vehicles walked away and recommend they go and play their lottery numbers."
