Three women in St Richard's Hospital after A259 car smash

THREE women were taken to hospital after their cars crashed on the A259.

The incident happened at lunchtime on Friday, October 17, along the westbound carriageway through Bognor Regis.

One woman was extricated from her wrecked car by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service using hydraulic rescue equipment before being taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.

The other two women were also treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Fire crews used sand to clear a small fuel spillage from the cars.
