A BURGLAR who broke into a Wickham Avenue shop overnight last Friday searched the premises but went away empty-handed.

THE bodywork of a silver Volkswagen Polo was scratched while it was parked in Wick ham Avenue overnight last Friday.

A SIX feet long plank of wood was found sticking out of one of the windows of bowling club premises in Egerton Park after vandalism reported to police last Friday evening.

POLICE received a number of reports that sheds in the Watermill Lane area had been broken into over night last Thursday.

A POLICE patrol at 4.30am on Saturday found that a brick had been thrown through the window of a Sidley supermarket.

A THIEF who found a cycle had been left unsecured in the front garden of a property in London Road last Friday evening made off with it. The BMX bike had distinctive "Slam" stickers on the handlebars and red brake cable.
