Based at Sedlescombe, UK based charity Pestalozzi offers life-changing opportunities to young people from disadvantaged communities around the world. The charity is now appealing to the community to get involved in The Big Ladybird Bake Sale to help raise vital funds.

Pestalozzi community fundraiser James Bacon says their vision is to inspire young people to make a difference in the world.

“To continue our worthwhile work, we are asking for local people to support us in this countrywide fundraiser,” he said.

“All that we ask is for you or your group to organise a cake sale on the weekend of May 7-8, or during the month of May.

This is an exciting opportunity for all community groups in the South East to get together and enjoy cake, while also raising funds for Pestalozzi.”

Funds raised will go towards the good work of Pestalozzi and James says there are many ways the enjoy the event. “You could hold the cake sale as part of a coffee morning or another event you may be organising. Why not invite some friends over for tea and cake and give it a ladybird theme too, which is our Pestalozzi logo, representing hope and good fortune?

“The most important thing to remember is to have fun!”
