Tesco plans convenience store in Barnham pub

TESCO has submitted a series of planning applications in connection with the conversion of a Barnham pub to a convenience store.

The plans are in the latest list submitted to Arun District Council in the Gazette area, which includes:

ANGMERING: retain brick front wall (this application affects the character and appearance of Angmering conservation area; re-submission following A/46/14/HH), 2 Woodford Villas, High Street.

ARUNDEL: stove flue pipe, (this application affects the character and appearance of the Arundel conservation area), 10 Nineveh Shipyard.

EASTERGATE: install a cash machine, The Barnham Hotel, 28 Barnham Road, Barnham. Further separate applications to make minor external alterations and fit new shopfront, install various signs and six bollards, install a two-fan condenser and three ground-standing air conditioning units to the rear.

LITTLEHAMPTON: install two toilets (one disabled), together with enclosed access and ramp and septic tank connection (re-submission following LU/142/13), West Beach Café, Rope Walk.

Change of use of residential institution to form two one-bedroom ground floor flats, one one-bedroom one studio first floor flat and one two-bedroom second floor flat, 13 Fitzalan Road.

RUSTINGTON: single-storey rear extension, 37 Chaucer Avenue.
