Sunshine Carnival returns

The theme of 2017 carnival, which will take place on May 27, will be Our Community - Our World.

Stephen Lloyd, president of the Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival, said, “My colleagues on the committee are working hard to ensure Eastbourne has another great carnival.

“It was always one of my objectives when I was the town’s MP to bring back our wonderful carnival after a 15-year gap so it’s a pleasure to see its now become a regular fixture again in the town’s packed events agenda.

“We’ve an earlier start time this year of 2pm so it will also be easier for parents with young children to enter or come along for the fun.”

He added, “I just know it’s going to be another tremendous event so folks, don’t forget to make a note in your diaries now.”
